Decades of commitment to biodiesel automatically bolster the belief that this fuel is destined for some "higher" calling. Having already helped one of Porsche's products to a higher level of excellence, it was consequentially time to reach for the skies and power an airplane with biodiesel.

Our experience with diesel engines of all descriptions, on the test bench, in stationary or mobile service, laid the foundations for our most ambitious project to date. Following years of development work and intensive trials, we finally succeeded in building an airworthy common-rail biodiesel engine. We hope to have overcome all the hurdles by July 2008 so that our customers may also have the pleasure of taking off using their own biodiesel. Someone once put it very neatly: "Friends don't let friends fly turboprop."
